Joy EHR Onboarding Guide

Joy is designed to get out of your way so you can focus on patient care. This guide is here to help you get oriented, build confidence, and gradually level up—without needing to learn everything at once. You don’t need to master the entire system on day one. Most providers are fully productive after learning just the basics, then adding more advanced tools over time as they become useful in your workflow.

If something feels unfamiliar at first, that’s normal. Joy is built to be learned by doing. Start simple, follow the sections in order, and come back to this guide whenever you need a refresher.

New Provider

Before getting started, collect the following information for each provider:

1. Email (within your domain)

2. Individual NPI

3. License # and expiration

4. DEA # if applicable
